We have a great line up of 16 Clubs this spring! Some of the most popular clubs are returning and there are some new ones that will probably spark your child’s interest.
General Details
Clubs are open to only 5th and 6th grade Highcrest students.
Bus service will not be available after students are released from Clubs. Transportation must be arranged by parents.
We reserve the right to cancel any Club if too few students enroll. For those Clubs that are over-subscribed, enrollment will be conducted via lottery.
Spring Club Dates
With the exception of the Girls on the Run Club, all Clubs run from March 1, 2010 to April 23, 2010.
Registration Details
There are two deadlines - February 4th and February 12th.
- February 4th (by 8pm) - Register for all Clubs in which you wish your child to participate.
- By the morning of February 8th, Club rosters for closed clubs will be e-mailed to all parents whose child is in the closed club. You will also receive an e-mail if a Club was closed and your child was waitlisted for that club. If you do not receive an e-mail and the Club is still being advertised as open on the Club website, your child most likely got into the Club you signed him/her up for. You may register your child for any of the remaining open Clubs starting on February 9th.
- February 12th (by 8pm) – Register your child for Clubs that still have open spots. Again, register for only those Clubs in which you wish your child to participate.
Ways to Register
There are two ways to register: on-line or via hard copy. If you register via hard copy, drop off the form in either the Clubs mailbox at Highcrest or at Sonja Hickey’s house (2117 Chestnut Avenue).
Payment
Payment will be accepted through Paypal when registering on-line. If you register via hard copy, write one check for EACH Club and make it payable to Highcrest PTO. Please indicate the Club and your child’s name in the memo section of each check.
Refunds/Cancellation
Student cancellation with a refund is allowed until February 26th. Please contact Sonja Hickey via e-mail or phone (847-920-9608) if you wish to cancel.
You will be issued a refund (in the original form of payment) for every Club that your child did not get into and that you paid for.
Scholarships
Scholarships are available and based on financial need. Please contact Luke Pavone, Highcrest’s Principal, for information regarding scholarships.
