Highcrest After School Clubs - Winter 2012

Winter Spring Clubs registration begins December 5.


We have a great line up of Clubs this Fall!  Some of the most popular clubs are returning and there are some new ones that will probably spark your child's interest.

NOTE: Also, the registration dates are changing slightly from last year AND the number of sessions offered throughout the school year is changing.  Please be sure to read the entirety of this page for all changes.

General Details

Clubs are open to only 5th and 6th grade Highcrest students.

Bus service will not be available after students are released from Clubs. Transportation must be arranged by parents.

We reserve the right to cancel any Club if too few students enroll.  For those Clubs that are over-subscribed, enrollment will be conducted via lottery.

After school clubs does not include Cross Country or Track.


Club Dates

We are changing the number of session for clubs this year.  Instead of 3 sessions (September to November, December to January, February to April), we are having only two sessions, where each session will be a bit longer (on average about 11-12 weeks versus 7-8 weeks in the past).  The first session, Fall 2011, will run from September 2011 to December 2011.  The second session, Spring 2012, will run from January 2012 to April 2012.

With the exception of the Book Club and Chess Enrichment, all Winter/Spring 2011-2012 Clubs run from January 17, 2011 to April 18, 2011.


Registration Details

There is now ONLY ONE deadline for registering – December 30th. You can begin to register your kids starting December 5th. Whether you order early or late in the registration period does not make a difference if a lottery is held.

Please be aware of all dates in the registration process, as follows:

December 30th (by 8pm) - Register for all Clubs in which you wish your child to participate.

January 16th, 2012  - Club rosters will be e-mailed to all parents.  If a Club is closed because of low enrollment, you will be notified and receive a full refund.  If a Club was extremely popular and more children registered than the maximum allowed, a lottery will be held and a wait-list created for those children that did not get into the Club.  You will receive an e-mail if your child was wait-listed for that Club and you will receive a full refund if your child never makes it into the Club.



How to Register

There is only ONE way to register: on-line. We are no longer allowing for registration via hard copy. If you have any problems registering on-line, please contact Afterschoolclubs@highcrestpto.org

Payment

Payment will be accepted through Paypal when registering on-line.


Refunds/Cancellation

Student cancellation with a refund is allowed until January 20. Please contact Afterschoolclubs@highcrestpto.org via e-mail or phone (847-920-9608) if you wish to cancel.

You will be issued a refund via Paypal for every Club that your child did not get in to.


Scholarships

Scholarships are available and based on financial need.  Please contact Traci Meziere, Highcrest's Assistant Principal, for information regarding scholarships.
