Gardens and Outdoor Classroom
The Outdoor Classroom is a student-maintained garden filled with native prairie plants, woodland flowers, and vegetables that is currently celebrating its tenth year at Highcrest! It is open at recess every school day (weather permitting) until Thanksgiving and reopens in the spring. Students who choose to spend their recess in the Outdoor Classroom may explore, study, help with garden work, play games, or just enjoy this beautiful, peaceful space.
