Make a Difference Day
Make a Difference Day is the "largest National Day of helping others."
Every year, Highcrest partners with The Volunteer Center of New Trier Township to collect items that will benefit various local social service agencies. Students collect items of need from family, friends and neighbors and bring the donations to HMS (usually on the third Friday of October) where they will help sort all donated goods. Parent, teacher and student volunteers will then load and deliver donations to theIndian Hill Train Station where over 14 nonprofits will gratefully receive the items. Look for more specifics in the weeks leading up to the event.
