Calling all Highcrest 5th & 6th Graders...

The Highcrest Variety Show wants you!

Put together a Group Act or a Solo,

Or work backstage on the Crew.

Come be part of a Live Show!

You can Sing, Dance, Juggle, Do Gymnastics, Be a Comedian, Do Magic, Mime, Play Music,
Make up a Skit or perform with another Entertaining Act.

Due to anticipated large numbers of participants, each student can be in only one act of
1 minute and 30 seconds or less, please!

Registration will take place after Preview Week. Preview Week will begin Monday, January 9th through Wednesday, January 11th, 4 to 6pm each day. You will be seen in the order of arrival.

ONLY HMS Students are allowed in the show. If your act needs music you MUST bring your own music on an IPOD or disc. to previews and rehearsals. Each student is only allowed to be in on act! It is not considered a band if you are playing an insturment solo.

Any bands interested in performing in the Variety Show need to email Elliott Torres at minguset@gmail.com

Ann and Wendy will be in the cafeteria a couple days next week to answer Any questions!

Parents of performers & crew members are requested to volunteer for at least 3 hours.


Important Dates

Sign-up: REGISTRATION will begin the week of Previews.

Previews: Monday, January 9th, Tuesday, January 10th, Wednesday, January 11th. 4 - 6 pm in Highcrest Auditorium.

1st Rehearsal: Monday, January 23rd, Tuesday, January 24th, Wednesday, January 25th. 4 -6 pm in Highcrest Auditorium.

2nd Rehearsal: Monday, February 13th, Tuesday, February 14th, Wednesday, February 15th. 4 -6 pm in Highcrest Auditorium.

Crew Training: Monday, February 27 from after school to 7:00 p.m. Meet at Wilmette Jr. High.

Dress/Technical Rehearsals: You'll be assigned one of these dates: Tuesday, February 28th or Wednesday, February 29th , from after school to 7:00 p.m. Meet at Wilmette Jr. High.

Final Dress Rehearsal: Thursday, March 1st from after school to 7:00 p.m. Meet at Wilmette Jr. High.

2 Performances: Friday, March 2nd from after school to 10:00 p.m. Show at Wilmette Jr. High. Two performances: 4:30 pm and 7:30 pm.

Locations:

  • Previews, 1st & 2nd Rehearsals at Highcrest Middle School Auditorium.
  • Crew Training, Dress/Technical Rehearsals, Final Dress Rehearsal & 2 Performances at Wilmette Jr. High Auditorium.

Registration Fee (required) $5.00/ T-Shirts (optional) $10/ Professional DVD (optional) $10.
