Volunteer Opportunities

Highcrest relies on the help of our wonderful parent volunteers throughout the entire year.  Volunteering is a great way to connect with the school, community and your child.

Room Parents - This volunteer position is not as nearly intensive as it was in elementary school and it is a great way to be involved.  Double click on either name to send an email with your name, your child's name, your child's teacher and your contact information.

5th grades parents: Lisa Axelrod or Sarah Condry

6th grade parents: Kelly Bryla or Carlee Bilello

Cafeteria - Shorter commitment with the new lunch schedule: 11:10 am to 12:50 pm. Work one shift or two.  Click on Sign me up to go to the Cafeteria sign-up page of our website.

Outdoor Classroom - Fall and Spring only during lunch/recess periods 11:10 - 12:50, email Cathy Taylor, Chris Norrick or Tia Raines.
Yearbook Production Assistants - Help with picture taking and page layout, fun and easy! Email Kerrily Jednorowicz.
Library Media Center - Help in the library during school hours.  Hours are flexible - email Ellen Hummel.
Hang Student Artwork - Once quarterly hang student artwork in the cafeteria.  Email Pam Levy.
5th and 6th grade chorus liaisons - We are looking for one parent for each grade to help the chorus director distribute clothes, music, and arrange for ushers. Interested? Email Pam Levy
General Volunteer Pool - Don't see a specific spot you wish to volunteer, but want to help now and then? Email Pam Levy.
Picture Day - Help coordinate class pictures on September 14th - email Becca Lyman or Katy Schmeissing.
Freaky Friday - Many volunteers are needed to put on the biggest student party of the year to be held on Friday, October 22. Email Toni Stapel.
Gift Wrap - Help sort orders when they come in the week of November 15, email Marci Blunk or Michelle Paul.
Parent Party - Help with decorations, invitations, set-up, etc. for the night of FUN on November 10.  Email Lisa Aiken or Gayle McCormick.
Book Fair - Help parents and children find that perfect book.  The Book Fair will be held November 8 - 12. Email Liz Eisenstein or Susan Petito.
Variety Show - Help make this year's show a success!  Volunteers are needed for rehearsals, registration, publicity, technical, green room, tickets, programs and phone calls.  Show date is Feb. 18.  Email Caryn Caffarelli or Wendy Raymond.
